Been here forever they said, you must at least have a beer there they said, it’s historic they said…. Checked all the above! Great bartenders and fun music kept us for more than a beer. It’s the classic dive bar serving locals and tourists like us with ease and no pretense. One bartender had been there for almost 20+ years and some of the tchotchkes on the walls predated his arrival. The wall behind the bar is an amalgamation of lives, voices, brawls, laughter, items found, items treasures, quirks displayed… go belly up to the bar, order your favorite bevvy – cheers!
This place has been here since prohibition times. I bet you could get some good moonshine here a hundred years ago. I can imagine there was shootouts in the street over someone stealing a spot to park their horse. Back in the gold rush, you could trade a nugget of gold for a bottle of whiskey here. Theres a cool model of what the place looked like. The bartender was really nice and made my pappy a virgin bloody Mary. The beer was cold and the game was on. I would come here often if I lived closer but for sure I’ll be back.
The bar-ambiance is on-point! I love all of the stickers and random decor. There are two dioramas of the bar inside the bar. They have darts and pinball in the back. The jukebox is up-to-date with a credit card reader and full digital selections. There’s a back patio, but it’s much more scenic out front if you’re a smoker.

Recommended by locals. I didn’t go in but found their sign in the window very amusing.

Has a pinball machine. This charming bar has a lot of personality and history, a rare experience for the area.
