Cold Creek Inn is a great value, “Bang for Your Buck”. I stayed there with my canine companion, The staff were pleasant and informative about the area when asked. The room was appointed with a refer, microwave, coffee maker. What adds to its appeal is the two nlock walk to downtown. It has local owned and made goods, including, a photographer displaying incredible photos of Mt Shasta , you can also find crystals in various shops, plus several brew pubs that serve food.
This was a very surprising jewel of notthern California.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. There are train tracks right in front of the hotel, and trains constantly pass by with loud horns late at night and early in the morning. There’s also a busy road behind the hotel, and I could clearly hear cars going by. Even conversations from the room next door were easy to hear.

The water quality was good, and I appreciated the variety of tea in the room, so I’m giving it 2 stars. But I definitely won’t stay at a hotel next to train tracks again.

There is a railroad next to it and the train passed 3 times around midnight and horn was loud. In the morning I could hear the neighbors conversation. Will not choose it again.

The room was extremely noisy. There was a laundry room and an ice machine right behind the wall, and the machine would regularly make a very loud humming noise. Because of this, I could not comfortably stay in the room during the day or sleep properly at night.

One night, I finally had enough and called the hotel representative around 11 PM, asking for permission to unplug the ice machine. They flatly refused. I then asked to be moved to another room, but they told me there were no rooms available and that if I did not like it, I could check out of the hotel right away (at 12 PM!)

There was also a coffee machine and tea bags in the room, but no complimentary bottled water. I am not used to drinking tap water, and having to drive to the nearest supermarket just to get clean water felt unreasonable.
If all of this sounds acceptable to you, then feel free to stay at this motel.

I stayed here for one night over the weekend while passing through on a road trip. The front desk staff was informative and friendly, which I appreciated.

I chose this hotel because the website emphasized cleanliness, but unfortunately my experience didn’t reflect that. There was hair on multiple towels, and upon closer inspection, I noticed dead bugs on the towels that were described as clean and sanitized. Because of this, I wasn’t able to use them. The bedding also had hair on it.

I feel bad complaining, especially because I work in hotels as well and understand how challenging the job can be. Customer service is not my main concern — cleanliness is. Since I was only staying one night and arrived tired, I didn’t report the issue at the time and was grateful to have a place to sleep. However, cleanliness is important, and I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.
