My husband and I have rented many vacation rentals through VRBO and airbnb, with very mixed results; but have rented homes through Coasting Home many times over the years, always with outstanding results. The homes are accurately marketed, extremely clean, and in great condition, and Coasting Home’s team is very responsive. If you rent directly through Coasting Home, you avoid all of the inflated junk fees added by other vacation rental apps, and the rental rates are very reasonable. We strongly recommend Coasting Home for your next vacation in Sea Ranch or the Mendocino Coast.

This was the 2nd time we booked this house for a week and the house is awesome – location , views, they fixed their back yard fence so no breaks so no deer in back yard – fully fenced to keep dog safe. House cleanliness and prep for renters awesome – they think of everything. Only issues – i don’t like micro fiber sheets. I prefer cotton percale so next time i guess we have to bring our own sheets. Towels provided are great – no shabby towels. Quiet during 4th of july which is why we book that particular week. We hope to rent it again next year. Hopefully the interior will be painted – entire interior needs painting. Place was sold in 2025 but inside not painted which is odd. Also before arriving outside windows viewing the ocean should be freshly washed. My husband got their windex out and did the 2 windows overlooking patio but could not reach the other 3 big windows. Overall 5 stars. We ran out of garbage bags for kitchen and they brought us more right away. Love Gualala. Been coming up there just about 40 years.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Long View house. Stepping into it, we immediately relaxed. The house was clean, well decorated with a vintage modern style. The views from the house were striking and there were many cozy spots to curl up and enjoy the view. The rooms and beds were cozy, equipped with black out shades for late sleepers. Outside was well kept with a lovely deck to spend time on.

Serendipity was absolutely outstanding in everyway. Perfectly appointed, plenty of supplies and a great kitchen. But it’s all about the views, 2 decks, a hot tub and you have the recipe for some great photos. There’s even a shortcut down to Ocean drive so you can walk to Trinks for breakfast. We will be back!

This was a great house to spend a week in recently. Everything great inside the house and out. Very quiet and peaceful with just the sound of the ocean. House had a great radio we kept on most of the time to listen to great station in Mendocino. We will definitely be back and would book this house again for sure. Nice walk to Trinks, surf market and stores in that area plus short walk to the bluff. We had gorgeous weather the entire time so another plus. Deer came to visit and hang out too.
