Went to Carbon because it was listed as in-network by my insurance, Aetna. They then billed me the full amount of the visit and Aetna treated it is as an out of network visit being zero cost share and doesn’t apply to deductible. Because Carbon billed Aetna as “Hill Physicians Group”. I’ve been fighting both entities to make this right for months – the fact that a patient has to somehow navigate the provider and insurer working together correctly is insane.

I’ve had to make 2 visits to urgent care this year. One trip to an ER and decided to try Carbon Health for the other (I’m not a hypochondriac, by the way). No comparison. I had to wait about an hour in the exam room, but the place was clean and the PA who saw me was thorough and had a great bedside manner. Would definitely go again (hopefully won’t need to!)
