The Mighty Trogdor
Great little cafe for a small meal. They have a tasty breakfast and lunch menu. They highlight a couple cocktails, but havr a full hotel bar available for any booze you want.
Order at the counter then find a table. That’s the only downside. Sometimes people sit at the tables while sending someone else to stand in line, and that makes it hard to find a table when you complete your order. Also just awkward that if you want another drink you have to stand in line again.
Overall great food though. Outside patio seating is prime. Parking is downtown, so sometime hard to find a spot close by.

Nice menu with a great variety to choose from. The restaurant is clean and the service is pretty good. I’m not a fan of having to order at the counter in this upscale of a restaurant, mainly because I’m disabled and feel rushed in making choices.
I love their mushroom Jarlsberg salad and my boyfriend had the Thai Noodle salad. We had the smaller salads and they were filling. We shared a pizette, nice and crispy.
My power wheelchair fit in between the tables and chairs, but the restaurant wasn’t crowded. Don’t know how it would fit if it was.

Cafe Bernardo (Davis) is that easy brunch spot where you meet a friend, lose track of time, and suddenly you’ve been there forever. Order at the counter, grab a seat, and it somehow still feels relaxed and taken care of. Tons of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options and everything’s labeled, which I appreciate. Pro tip… talk to the cashier. They can tweak a lot more than what’s listed. I ended up with a grain bowl that was actually good good and an iced tea that hit.
The space is really cute with indoor outdoor seating, even if I’ll admit the Sacramento location has a little more personality. Service here though? So solid. Friendly, helpful, and patient with all the questions. I do think table service would level it up, but honestly we had a great time and didn’t miss it that much. Easy, reliable, and a yes for a casual brunch catch up.

Wonderful cafe in Davis. Has both standard American breakfast fare and more interesting options like Kimchi Fried Rice and Chilaquiles. The cappuccino was amazing!

Freshly opened with plenty of seating. There was a long line to be seated and service was fast. Tip: if there is open seating at the bar you don’t have to wait in line. There is an express counter for those in a rush!
Food service was a bit slower since it just opened and things are made freshly, so expect the service to be a bit slower.
Food is not cheap (it’s airport pricing) but definitely better than the previous options that were available at the airport. Alcoholic drinks will run you from $10-30. Meals will run you from $20-30+ each.
