This was my first visit to the nursery since it changed ownership. I’ve been going to this nursery for 30 years. I have to say the last owner wasn’t particularly nice – the new owners are quite welcoming.
There’s a huge selection of variety of Rhododendrum’s, Japanese maples, Dahlia’s and Clivia’s with huge redwoods surrounding.
The grounds are gorgeous as ever with lovely shaded paths throughout. A new addition is the small shop with soaps and lotions made from herbs. Additionally, we were told by one of the new owners that they know offer event space for weddings. There is no charge to park or to enter the nursery. It seemed like the prices were a bit higher, but for a specialty plant it would be worth it.

As others have shared, this place is a true gem, not just for Sonoma County, but for the state and country. Likely the largest collection of Azaleas and Rhododendron anywhere, and in a beautiful setting. We were looking for a selection of both to begin planting and tending in N. California. We came to the right place. I still can’t believe we hadn’t been there earlier. The prices are incredibly reasonable, far better than any in the county. And, for those looking for plants beyond these two, there are also amazing Camelias, a wide range of Hellebores, lots of ferns and many fruiting trees…along with a wide selection of most other plants one might want in NoCal. A huge shout out to Armando, master of the plants, who knows all there is to know about each and every one and shares his knowledge generously and with a true love of the plants and a wish for them to thrive. He is a treasure. We will be back many times. Thank you, Botanica.

What an amazing and beautiful walk through the woods, picnic by the pond with fountain, and opportunity to buy the plants and trees that are indigenous to the West Sonoma County creekside geography. This once thriving tourist attraction that opened in the 60’s has been under restoration by new owners and offers a free tour of the property to bring interest back to a popular nursery. We will enjoy many visits in the coming years as locals and is surely a great sight seeing spot for visitors of Sebastopol’s countryside.

Hidden gem! Meandered through the rustic paths & captured glimpses of a host of flora & fauna. Picnic areas are available. The nursery has many healthy plant options. When you stop at the kiosk ask for the nursaries history.

A truly wonderful place. This magical gem is a must see. Awesome nursery with many types of plants, from rhododendrons to azaleas, and dwarf maples to air plants, they have so much to see. There is also a nature path that takes you through redwood groves and many other types of beautiful trees and plants.
