Noodle is my fav food growing up and I have high standards – from noodle texture (needs nice chew but not raw in the middle, and won’t get soggy), to soup and topping (flavorful and balanced). There’s only 3 noodle places in the Bay Area I’d make a trip to eat even if I moved away, Blissful Noodle is one of them. This is also the only standout Chinese noodle option North of Cupertino, trust me I tried them all 🙂
Been here multiple times since opening, tried:
– BiangBiang noodle with chili sizzling oil (油泼面)
– three in one noodle (三合一)
– noodle with cumin lamb (孜然羊肉面)
– noodle with spicy sour minced pork (哨子肉末面)
– noodle with minced pork, pickled beans and hot chili (酸豆角泡椒肉末拌面)
– all the liang pi (凉皮)
– hot and sour dumpling soup (酸汤水饺)
– crispy sandwich with braised pork / cumin lamb (卤汁和孜然肉夹馍)
..and everything is freaking solid!
What I also love is that while they keep the most critical parts of these dishes to keep them authentic, they also slightly adjust the flavoring to be less oily and heavy. I’m a huge food lover who also started caring about health, and they strike the perfect balance.
Even if you’ve never tried Chinese food or Chinese noodles, highly recommend giving this a try, you might just find your new fav cuisine 🙂 And for all my fellow Chinese noodle lovers, this place is the real deal, don’t miss out!
Great new noodle spot! The handmade hand-pulled noodles have a really nice chewy texture, and both the mixed noodles and pickled vegetable fish rice noodles were delicious and flavorful. The braised pork crispy sandwich was crispy and savory, and the liangpi was refreshing and appetizing. The restaurant is clean, with an open kitchen where you can see the food being prepared. Would definitely come back!
Nice new restaurant in a space that has had variations of Asian restaurants in the past. Located in a former ramen joint they offer northern Chinese noodles. The recommendation is to make sure you sample their house made chilly crisp. The noodles taste a lot better. Ask for hot water to make a soup or help water down the soup as it can be salty. And finish with the desert which is really blissful.
This is my first time dining here, and the Liangpi (Shaanxi-style cold noodles), Roujiamo (meat-filled buns), dumplings and Mifen (rice noodles) are my favorites. The flavors are incredibly authentic, and the ingredients taste very fresh. The restaurant itself is comfortable, bright, and modern, creating a very pleasant dining atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Chinese food, especially Shaanxi cuisine!

A truly blissful time eating here. Excellent, high-quality, hugely portioned, traditional Chinese food.
The spicy dishes had Sichuan peppercorn undertones. The beef rib noodles are fantastic at an unbeatable price.
