I had an excellent experience thanks to a very hardworking young waitress who was clearly giving her best while balancing school and work. She was polite, attentive, and always had a smile on her face. She made sure everything was perfect and checked on us regularly without being intrusive. It was inspiring to see someone so dedicated and professional at such a young age. Her great attitude and outstanding customer service made our visit even better. She has a bright future ahead of her, and I highly recommend recognizing her excellent work.
Very quick and friendly service. Owner came by to check in with the place and it’s obvious he’s a regular and that his employees are comfortable with him. They were doing some detailed cleaning which is good because the pepper shaker at my table was very sticky. I had to do a triple rake on the house chicken cabbage soup because it totally tasted like a Hispanic caldo. After really trying, I was able to pick up some hints of “asian”, probably some paste or sauce. The egg roll was freshly fried but most likely prepared and probably a bulk frozen egg roll that was then fried and presented. The garlic stir fry chicken and rice was telling. The chicken felt a little over cooked, and the garlic was definitely not fresh. It was minimally found in the dish and was tasting more like the “fresh” jarred garlic. So it wasn’t like fresh garlic cloves that were minced. Not much pepper either even though the menu mentioned it. The rice was long grain, which I felt that jasmine or sushi rice would have been better pairings to the entree. Portion was very large for the entree. I can say this is the best asian food in Taft. I would not necessarily recommend this as “asian” to anyone. If it weren’t claiming to be asian, I would have rated higher. If the ingredients would have been more fresh, I would have very much loved it. It’s good descent food if you’re pallet isn’t too picky. But I am picky.
Great Place Had a great experience with Dennis talking about the establishment of now serving the community for 19 years going on 20.
Today I had the lunch special Broccoli with gravy spicy. Man the flavor blew me away this second time. Keeps getting better and better with age like some fine wine. Price was great good portion and under $20.00 is nice now days. Place is clean well kept and working AC. Will be back again next time I’m in town. Second time eating here.
Everything at this place was simply amazing. Ordered a lunch special and it came with a soup and roll. Main course was pad thai with my choice of protein (beef). When asked if I wanted the mild or spicy option, I just had to go spicy. The texture and taste of it was wonderful.
I’ll definitely ask to work in the area again, just to have the opportunity to eat here again.
Do pay attention to their hours tho, they open from 11-2pm and reopen at 4pm.

Small and cute mom and pop place. Great customer service. The pineapple fried rice was ok, I wish it had a little more pineapple pieces.
