I’ve been here a couple of times and I am still impressed with every aspect of the business. Extremely well organized and labeled. The staff were friendly and the business is very well run and streamlined. The plants all looked extremely well cared for, I didn’t see anything about the operation that wasn’t too notch. A+
Great spot to go if you’re looking for shrubs flowers for trees. Very knowledgeable staff and they can definitely help you find anything you’re looking for the property is huge around a couple acres and they have a lot of varieties two cheese from. They are only open certain days of the week and have limited parking. The pricing for plants is reasonably Fair and you can walk out with a few plants without having to spend an arm and a leg. They have an online site that will give you an idea of what is available and what is soon to be available as well as a map of the property and where certain things are.
I’m giving 3 stars because I really wanted to give 1 due to a very unhappy employee that I witnessed being rude to several customers while I was in line. Several of us customers with wagons full were looking at each-other like “unbelievable!!!” I like this place and the prices are decent and they have a nice variety. But the 20-30 year girl with the short blond dyed chopped hair left a bad taste in my mouth. Thankfully another lady rang me up. I wish I was the type person to call her out but I didn’t. If she hates people and her job that much she should find another type of employment. No patience at all, short, abrupt and down right RUDE!
I immediately went to check google reviews after my experience recently to see if others also have the same experience or it was just me. Apparently, i’m not the only one. I’ve always had a good experience with this nursery in the past. Bought our cypress, roses and hydrangeas from them without any problem. Unfortunately, that has changed. Don’t get me wrong, they really have good inventory — if you know your stuff (like one of the reviews stated here). I went there knowing the stuff that i wanted. The first one, I was told, were not in season anymore. Okay, no problem. So i asked for the second one. Their inventory stated they had a few, but was nowhere to be found. The woman on the front desk said their computer shows they have it on this particular section, but somebody must have moved them and didn’t update their inventory. Then she told me to just look for them myself in the area. I circled the whole section looking aimlessly for something, God forbid they help me. The plants that I researched about were both not available so I had to look for an alternative and had to ask questions. I asked them for recommendations, but the guy on the counter told me “you have a phone, right? Google it.” I didn’t really appreciate the tone. I was there to ask for help and google didn’t really give me much info on the type of plants I was looking for. I wanted to ask a follow up question about low-shedding flowers but i didn’t even get the chance to ask. Come here if you know your stuff, grab them and go. But if you’re here to ask questions bec you are an amateur just wanting to know what’s good for your garden, you are not the target market. Just expect a condescending tone from an irritated person at the counter.
So happy with our purchase of plants from Urban Tree Farm! I did a little research on their website, called in my order and had it delivered a couple of days later. The plants are in great shape! Will definitely be buying from them again.
