I have only great and easy experiences with the Ukiah U-Haul. I’ve rented many trucks, vans and have been there numerous times over the past 5 years and each time was a very helpful positive experience. I highly recommend them.

The Ukiah, CA Uhaul employees made what felt like a traumatic house move from one town to another much easier. I was able to extend the truck several days easily and the tips and advice from the staff helped a lot to prepare me with packing and movement of my valued items. Everyone was great from checking out to checking back in the truck. Great people doing great work helping people is the way to run a successful business. Thanks a bunch!

Update 6/29/2026 We rented a van today to do a little storage move. We were helped by Tony M who was both efficient and kind. The van appeared to be new, equipped with back up camera and a spotless storage bay. Ukiah U-Haul always treats us right.

We got a very bad experience with our truck today. Trying to move everything today, but couldn’t drive that far. The truck we received had a 1/4 gas tank left. We went to gas station to pump gas and all the gas kept leaking out as we pumped. Found out a broken pipe connecting straight to the fuel pumping hole. We already drove 30 mins out. We called U-Haul here, they said we call the wrong number and connected us to the Roadside assistance line. Took forever for them to get back to us. They said they will send someone to fix the truck. Waited 2 hours, no one comes. They told us to drive it back home… with almost no gas left in the tank and didnt even know if the truck would expose… U-Haul, I don’t know what type of business you guys are doing if you can maintain your own vehicle…
