Tony’s Seafood is absolutely worth the drive. If you’re staying in quieter areas like Bodega Bay and looking for a great meal and a little more energy, this is the place to go.
The seafood is outstanding, with a great mix of both cooked and raw options. Their Kumamoto oysters are my favorite anywhere; sweet, buttery, and incredibly fresh. They’re so good that I even got family members who normally don’t like oysters to enjoy them.
The live music on Sundays is a huge bonus and adds to the fun, relaxed waterfront atmosphere. Between the food, the views, and the overall vibe, it’s one of those places that becomes a must-visit every time you’re in the area.
Was recommended as one of the best places for oysters on our drive south on Hwy 1. They were right. We had grilled oysters for the first time instead of raw and they were amazing! Great pre lunch snack with a little bread and wine! The Hog Island hit sauce was so good we bought a few to take home. TNX
We love this place and eat here every time we are in point Reyes station. View is peaceful and beautiful! Apart from oysters being amazing, we tried their Thai curry doungeness crab once which was amazing! Fresh, meaty and tasty! Fish tacos and fish and chips are always tasty! Parking can be hard depending on time of the day and day of the week. All in all a very popular place
Hands down the best oysters I’ve ever had. I can’t eat raw fish so their bbq Oysters were on another level for me. We also grabbed some Fish & Chips, chowder, and the most excellent Oyster Stout. The staff were very friendly, we didn’t wait too long, and the views were incredible. Looking forward to coming back to this wonder place.
As others have mentioned, the location and views are absolutely phenomenal. We sat outside at the rail, which was perfectly comfortable, and because it was a warm afternoon with minimal wind we could relax and enjoy the incredible scenery.
The drinks were fantastic: incredibly well made and well balanced, we didn’t notice (much less mind) they were made with agave. I had the Bloody Mary and she had the shrub, both were top notch.
We shared the food: fish and chips, plus two each of the chipotle bourbon and miso nori BBQ’d oysters. Everything was fantastic: the fish was beautifully crispy and the flavor was rich and savory. The fries were crunchy and perfect with a couple dashes of malted vinegar. The oysters were all very flavorful. If I had to choose something to list as a downside, it was that the oysters might’ve been a little overcooked: they were a challenge to pull from the shell. But this is complaining at a very high level.
Our server was quite friendly. She even gave us a free Panna Cotta to share for dessert: creamy, slightly sweet, and delicious with the strawberries and drizzle!
