The Taco Stand was absolutely amazing! I ordered the chicken and fried fish tacos along with chips and guacamole, and everything was seriously 11/10. Both tacos were delicious, and the chips and guac were just as good. Honestly, I have nothing to complain about! Everything hit the spot, and I enjoyed every bite. Definitely a place I’d happily come back to whenever I’m craving tacos!

Superb. Second time eating Taco Stand, I tried their other location (closer to the university I think) for the tacos and the line was crazy but worth it. I was shocked to not have to wait at this location, I got a California burrito. Absolutely the best burrito I’ve ever had. Not even kidding. Goodness this place is delicious. Visiting from OC omw to Tijuana, wasn’t sure if I could wait that long without eating something and I’m glad I got this burrito. Ingredients are quality and fresh. Best $11 I’ve spent on food in recent memory I can’t imagine getting a better value in TJ (the tourist-safe areas at least). Freaking DELICIOUS.

The Taco Stand was our first stop in San Diego, and it set the bar high for the rest of our trip. My family absolutely loved it. We ordered the California burrito, two carne asada burritos, three tacos (pollo, carne asada, and shrimp), and a cheese quesadilla. Every single item was fresh, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. They also have a great selection of specialty sauces in the back for you to help yourself, which lets you customize the flavors even more.
If I could give this restaurant six stars, I would. While the atmosphere is fairly simple and casual, the outstanding food more than makes up for it. We would absolutely come back the next time we’re in San Diego. I wanted to try the Baja tacos but it was a 25 minute wait so I’ll have to get them next time.

Best taco place ever!! I got Al pastor, carne asada, mushroom, and pollo asada tacos and they were all so delicious! The elote is probably one of the best I’ve had. Their chips and guac don’t disappoint either! I would recommend trying their sauces and horchata! Definitely a go to place when in SD!
