Spectacular mature redwood which was hollowed out by a fire. You can actually see the sky from inside of it. Great experience right on the side of the Avenue of the Giants

You don’t need to spend too much time at this location. At most 5mins trying to get a good video or picture. It’s an interesting view for sure. But after being wow-Ed by so many other magnificent trees in the area, this feels alright.

We stopped along the way and visited the Living Chimney Tree. The viewing is free. It gave us an opportunity to stretch out legs but I wouldn’t go too far out of your way to see it.
