Little hole in the wall place in the middle of nowhere.
The food was amazing! And the vibe is relaxed.
This place is sporadic when customers come and go. We sat down and no one was there. Then it was filled to the brim with adults and kids getting ice creams and beer.
We ate dinner here because things in the general Redwood National park area are sparse. It was very busy. There was a long line. By the time we made it to the register to order our food we had already been waiting some time. The young lady at the register had a difficult time conveying what was…and what wasn’t available as several menu items had already run out. 2 of the 3 people in my party had no idea what they actually ordered after the orders were placed. I ordered the blackened fish dinner and what arrived was some form of a greek salad with a piece of fish thrown on top for good measure. The same happened to my friend who thought she was ordering the chicken entree. We were given numbers and dismissed. We found a table but never were water or utensils presented to us…it is all self serve with no explanation of where or how. It wasn’t intutive…perhaps because it was so busy, nothing was visible. We waited and waited and waited and waited for the arrival of our mystery dinners and they in fact arrived different than expected. The meals were expensive for what they were when we thought we were ordering entrees instead of a salad. I cannot recommend this establishment based on our experience and I will not be visiting here again. Just a couple of blocks down the road there is a lovely spot for dinner with fabulous food. I recommend that one instead.
The inside of the place is so awesome. Its as if you’re under the ocean, looking up! Dont sit outside if its windy. We watched a poor family deal with high wind and birds bugging them through their whole meal.
I got a brisket sandwich for $16 and was disappointed to see it was the size of a small hamburger. No side included. Too expensive and not worth it. The garlic fries were burnt and didn’t taste good at all. I didnt even eat them, they were gross. Was still a nice experience, I wish I tried their potato waffle cone, a lot of people were really enjoying them from what I saw. They have root beer on tap and the Arnold Palmer was one of the best Ive tried.
What a disappointment. The Lighthouse Grill completely missed the mark on quality, flavor, and customer service. The fish and chips were greasy and bland — hardly deserving of the title “catch of the day.” If this is fresh, I’d hate to imagine what it’s like after a few days. Worst fish and chips ever.
The fish sandwich didn’t fare any better. It was undercooked and equally lacking in flavor. I found myself reaching for ketchup just to make the meal somewhat bearable — never a good sign for seafood.
To top it off, the service was lacking. A young blonde staff member interrupted our waitress mid-order without so much as an apology, which was rude and unprofessional.
Overall, a very underwhelming experience. I regret not reading the recent reviews beforehand. I won’t be returning. $78 in the trash. Sad, because, the location is perfect.

Nice little place to kick back.
