We had an amazing time staying at Mary’s Knotty Oak Farm! When wildfires near Yosemite derailed our multi-family camping plans, we were delighted to find a place in Anderson Valley at the last minute that could accommodate our group of 6 different families (12 adults + 16 kiddos, ages 1-9) – to give us a camp-like experience with even more amenities and features than we could have planned for!

The three houses were a perfect mix of functional, rustic, inviting, and well-appointed. The beds were SO comfortable, the kitchens were stocked full of every type of dish and tool and platter we could have needed to feed our 26 person group multiple times a day. The luxurious bath products in the bathrooms were much appreciated and it was nice having bath tub options for the younger kiddos. We loved exploring the grounds, splashing in the creek, and enjoying the large outdoor gathering space with rocks, chairs, BBQ grills, and picnic tables.

The whole experience being at The Knotty Oak farm felt like getting off the grid and into nature, while still being able to take advantage of many of Anderson Valley’s charming establishments and wineries. Mary was a HUGE help to provide us with so much local information regarding restaurants and activities, as we had pivoted at the last minute and hadn’t had much time to research or plan meals. She was communicative and responsive to our needs before and during our stay.

I can’t recommend The Knotty Oak Farm for your next multi-family or multi-generational family weekend getaway. There is so much to do in Anderson Valley but also, the property is so inviting and well-appointed that you might not want to leave during your stay. We already want to come back to enjoy more!

The entire property is beautifully appointed with fun, thoughtful decor and upscaled historical artifacts and ephemera that perfectly complement the natural surroundings.
The rooms are each uniquely themed with vibrant colors and funky furnishings and artwork.

The Knotty Oak is far from ordinary and an absolute must-visit and offers a delightful escape from whatever it is you may be escaping from. Embrace the vibes and enjoy.
