We enjoyed our food a lot at The Black Door. Something for everyone, including vegans and those who eat gluten-free. I got a vegan burrito by requesting it without sour cream or cheese. It was flavorful and delicious. Others in the group enjoyed their meals, as well. The service was outstanding. Free chips and salsa!

Food was good. Crispy tacos were crispy and meat was good- tried the ground beef and the pork. Enjoyed the soft tacos as well. My kids ate the chicken tenders but complained that some parts were too tough/hard to chew. Overall good, would eat here again.

We had a great dinner at The Black Door. For some reason there are a lot of Mexican food in Gualala. We chose The Black Door based on the reviews and the menu. Food was great, service was wonderful, and there was an ocean view.
Chips and salsa came quickly as we were seated. We ordered a Carnitas Super Burrito ($17), a Chicken Tostada ($5), and a giant 22 ounce draft beer ($10). Both dishes were really great, with high quality meat and great flavors.
I want to go back for breakfast tomorrow morning!!

I always love the mole chicken here. The sauce has a great flavor and the chicken is cooked just right! I also hear from my husband that they have the best breakfast burritos in town.

My husband is vegan and I am gluten free. The staff here was able to accommodate our needs after some discussion / explanation. The rice, enchilada sauces, and mole all have chicken stock. We ordered veggie tacos, which were fresh and filling, and a side of beans (vegetarian). The mango cucumber lime agua fresca (may rotate daily) was also delicious! FYI, they serve beer and wine only. Enjoy the sunroom atmosphere to watch the sunset. Super friendly and helpful staff.
