Line up to order, pay, take the buzzer, find a place to sit, go pick up food at the opposite side of the building where you placed your order. Effective. Fish was crispy on the outside moist in the middle, as it should be done for both the shrimp tacos and the fish & chips. Busy place but we found a close by parking spot. Several options to choose for where to sit, with views, shade or sunshine. Plus one ⭐️ for being dog friendly and having water bowls available.

We stopped at The Birds Café while visiting Bodega Bay, and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view.
The adults ordered the fish and chips with a glass of wine, while the kids enjoyed chicken strips and Shirley Temples. Everything was delicious, and the fish and chips were exactly what we were hoping for while visiting the coast.
We were lucky enough to get a table overlooking the bay, which made the meal even more enjoyable. We also had some friendly conversations with fellow travelers, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.
The café has a charming, laid-back feel, and we loved that there were cute little shops and a coffee shop connected nearby, making it easy to spend some time exploring after lunch.
If you’re in Bodega Bay, The Birds Café is definitely worth a stop for good food, beautiful views, and a relaxing coastal experience.

I can see why people like the charming atmosphere, BUT the food is decidedly mid. Heavily battered fish and shrimp in the tacos, and the “artichoke fritters” mostly just tasted like fried batter.
But the views are nice!

Outstanding views over Bodega Bay. Super fast service, I had Hog Island oysters and artichoke tacos. Absolutely delicious. We celebrated my aunt’s 80th birthday and she had fish and chips. My cousin had the same and both were delighted. This little gem is a superb place for visitors like us. We also had ideal sunny weather. What’s not to like? I recommend this amazing place to all.

Great spot for lunch! Decent amount of seating and adequate parking lot. We were there about 12:30 on a Wednesday. Fast friendly service.
The fish tacos are a great bang for your buck and had the Big Dub Cider.
Only wish the crab roll had more meat for what you pay. The bun was toasted nicely and was buttery.
