Terra Sávia Organic Winery & Olive Mill is truly one of Mendocino County’s hidden gems and one of our family’s favorite places to visit! Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is a destination you don’t want to miss.
The setting is absolutely beautiful, with stunning vineyard views, peaceful countryside, and an atmosphere that immediately helps you slow down and relax. One of our favorite parts is visiting all of the friendly animals! Pepper Jack the donkey is always a highlight, and we also love seeing Terino the lazy bull, along with the goats and their adorable babies and don’t forget the beautiful horses. It’s such a fun and memorable experience for kids and adults alike.
The wine is fantastic, and if you visit, you absolutely have to take home some of their organic olive oil. The Blood Orange Olive Oil is incredible and has become one of our favorites! We also love their handcrafted olive oil soaps, which make wonderful gifts or a little treat for yourself.
There is so much to enjoy while you’re there. Families can play corn hole or ping pong, and there’s even a coloring corner that keeps little ones entertained while parents relax with a glass of wine. The chef is always creating delicious seasonal treats, and their wine club luncheons are beautifully done and always worth looking forward to.
Another thing we love is their massive vegetable garden it’s inspiring to walk through and they even have healthy plant starts for sale if you’re looking to bring a little piece of Terra Sávia home to your own garden.
Everything about Terra Sávia reflects genuine care, from the organic farming practices to the welcoming staff and the inviting atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to sip exceptional wine, stock up on amazing olive oil, enjoy delicious food, spend time with family, and soak in the beauty of Mendocino County.
We recommend Terra Sávia to everyone we know. Go for the wine, leave with olive oil, plants, and unforgettable memories—you’ll already be planning your next visit before you leave!
We stopped on holiday monday, we had a great time with the lady there. She explained their process and walked with us.
Daughter pet the donkeys and the baby goats and a friendly big bull.
Wine and olive oil is amazing. Great products!
We chose Terra Savia because I’m not drinking alcohol at the moment, and we absolutely love olives and animals, and it ended up exceeding every expectation. While the winery itself is beautiful, what truly made this place unforgettable was the incredible olive mill and the heartwarming animal sanctuary.
The olive oils were phenomenal – fresh, flavorful, and clearly crafted with immense care and passion. The tasting experience was thoughtful and welcoming, and every product reflected the farm’s deep commitment to quality, sustainability, and certified organic practices.
The animal sanctuary was equally special. Seeing rescued animals so well cared for in such a peaceful setting brought so much warmth and meaning to the visit. They were all incredibly friendly, and it’s rare to find a place that combines beauty, ethics, and hospitality so seamlessly.
What makes the place especially unique is that the owners/hosts, Jurg and Yvonne, built it around a philosophy of organic farming, land stewardship, olive cultivation, rescued animals, and sustainable agriculture, which is probably why it feels so personal and soulful when you visit.
Even without drinking wine, we felt completely immersed in everything Terra Savia has to offer. The entire property radiates authenticity, kindness, and love for the land. Jurg and Yvonne were wonderful hosts – warm, engaging, and full of fascinating stories. The setting was stunning, and the entire experience felt both relaxing and inspiring.
Terra Savia is so much more than a winery, it’s a place with soul. Highly, highly recommended.
An absolutely wonderful winery and olive oil farm. We did a tasting of both wines and olive oils, and had a great time. We learned a lot about the wide variety of oils they have on offer. We’re looking forward to coming back for some of the events they host here.
My wife and I stumbled upon this place on a short weekend getaway. We spent several hours there, talking with the caretaker, tasting their incredible wine selections (and neither of us particularly likes wine, so it was notable that we found several we really enjoyed) as well as their awesome olive oil selections.
It’s a family- and pet-friendly place which is huge, for us, as we typically travel with our two small dogs, so any place that allows them inside with a smile is at the top of our list of favorite places.
The cherry on top of the wines, oils, soaps, teas and honeys is the animal sanctuary on the estate. We were provided a couple baskets of carrots, pears and apples to feed to the donkeys, sheep, goats, bull and even the chickens.
We will absolutely be back and are already recommending it to friends and family.
