We loved the food and staff. I got a huge kale salad and sweet potato fries while my wife eat from the selection at the bar. The portions were very large and the food was awesome. Next time we are in Willits we’ll definitely be back.
went in for a quick bite, cody was very sweet and attentive. hot bar was amazing and seasoned great- loved the pasta and buffalo tofu. i got the berry blastoff smoothie and it was delicious. very quick service and had a nice conversation.
the inside atmosphere was calm and liked that they had things for kids to play with inside. will be back on my text trip up to willits
The quality has sadly gone down since the move from Ukiah to Willits. I expected that the bigger space would provide opportunity for expansion of the menu and team, but I was wrong. They have not added anything new nor have they hired additional staff. The food is not consistent. I went back for a veggie burger after really enjoying the first one I had— huge mistake. Without notice it was served on sliced bread instead of a bun, and the patty was NOT the homemade burger I had before. It had been substituted for beyond beef. It was foul— mushy and lacking any flavor. The food on the hot bar is a hit or a miss. Some of the sides are extremely salty, and when notifying the owner/chef, he completely disregarded my opinion & told me no one else had complained. I ordered an overpriced smoothie another day, and it confirmed that they are not following proper food safety rules in their kitchen. The female employee went to the kitchen and filled the blender with frozen fruit. When she walked out, she had the blender in hand and approached the hand washing sink to add water. The owner had to stop her, and told her they would be making this one differently… probably because I was watching. It’s such a shame to see this large space with a drive thru not reaching its full potential. They could be thriving as the ONLY vegetarian/vegan drive thru in Northern California. Hire a couple new faces that actually have restaurant/kitchen experience and expand the options on your menu.
Located off Highway 101 in Willits, Northern California, in the coastal redwood region north of the San Francisco Bay Area. Always the best organic comfort food. Convenient location, friendly service, and a relaxing atmosphere.
The place doesn’t have a very good dining place, though the food is decent. All the food is made to order, and the meat imitation is chewy and zesty. But the seasoning is more on the salty and greasy side. I was going to give it a 4 for the overall experience, though I’m inspired by its green. They don’t promote plastic utensils or bags, and the to-go box is biodegradable. If most restaurants follow their green, then we would live in a healthier world.
