Bruiser Calloway the ex-Danseur (male ballerina) for the Joffrey Ballet was in town for the small person, “can’t say midgets anymore” throwing contest at the Carol Doda Pavilion and had time for a lunch with me at the Taqueria Vallarta! The Bruiser is a 3 to 5 favorite to take the title because of his vast experience throwing those ballerinas across the stage, he says little people are about the same…just a little more wind resistance. We had the Tacos de Cerdo a la Barbacoa and they were maybe the best in the city! Taqueria Vallarta is way underrated, it’s a 5☆☆☆☆☆ joint without a doubt!

If I can give 0 stars then I would. The quesadillas are who flour taco shells with a dry chewy flank steak smacked in the middle of it. The chili relleno has some type of meat sauce on it, so don’t order if you’re vegetarian. Everything here tasted like it was from bags. Nothing seasoned and everything nasty..the only good thing was the aguas frescas.

This is the place for Taco Tuesday in San Francisco’s Mission District! The $2.50 each for al pastor and chicken.. $4 each for the rest! This deal was amazing. I grabbed 4 tacos of different flavors and was served quickly! There is a lot of seating inside and outside, I can tell this place gets busy. Open late, it must be a party on weekends. The menu is more than tacos, they have a huge selection. The tacos had great flavor and I was satisfied. I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting San Francisco , locals love this spot. I also admired the beautiful artwork on the walls inside and outside.. and the architecture brings a cool vibe. Family friendly and community oriented.

Two Al Pastor tacos, one grilled chicken taco, chips and salsa. Cost was $13.50. Portions are on the skimpy side, meats did not taste fresh at all. Overcooked, not much flavor. Chips were really good, salsa was mediocre.
If you’re going to charge $4 a taco they better be good. Not the case here. Would I eat here again? Absolutely not, I do not recommend this business

    Hi Fam.
If you’re looking for a place to get some good tacos or Mexican food, this is the place to be. The prices are pretty good. Also now if you decide to stop by and let them know that Pastor Dre sent you.
