The food lacked flavor. It was totally bland food. I would not waste time trying this restaurant out. The service was mediocre and they did the bare minimum. They stood around talking among themselves. Granted it was not busy but the could of check on our table. Instead I had to get the refills on our drinks.
This will be a detailed review with critiques for the owner, and advice on what i value on their menu.
Carnitas super burrito 5/5 $12
I would like to say that the quality of the burrito surpasses most in sonoma county. the balance in the burrito is self is perfect and the carnitas (pork) is perfectly textured. if you need to avoid spice let them know during your order, but if you are someone who loves and appreciates capsaicin this burrito comes with a small kick.
Single use plastics-a message to the owner.
while i understand running a business can be expensive, there are many alternatives to conventional petroleum single use plastic bags, and containers. moving away from these “conveniences” not only helps our environment but shows the community you care.
Whatever you do. Don’t go off the price of the menu online. They false advertise on the price of the burritos, so I can only imagine what else their false advertising. Also, their burritos don’t come with cheese, and they tried to charge me $4 for a slice of cheese on a burrito. And I ordered a burrito with no beans in it, and asked for just a little bit of extra meat in place of the beans and they charged $6 for a spoonful of carniasada, if you like honesty and integrity in the people that make your food. This is not the place I would recommend. And, once again, you can’t go by the price online. I’m pretty sure they just make up pricing As they’re going along with the order.
Wow! What an awesome little restaurant! We decided to roll the dice and went there for dinner. I was totally blown away by the quality and the quantity of the food and the friendly service! The interior decore was fantastic with beautiful and colorful tables and chairs. The place was clean and spotless too!
They serve some of the BEST Mexican food out West! I’ve eaten Mexican cuisine in Colorado, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, etc. But so far, this has been the restaurant that made me go WOW after my first bite! All the ingredients were fresh and cooked to perfection with passion! And the portion sizes were HUGE! They come on a 12 to 14 inch plate packed with food in every inch of that plate! My pictures really don’t do justice as to the portion sizes and freshness of the food. I highly recommend the Chimichanga, Super Burrito, and the Carnita platter. The pork carnitas had the perfect crispness on the outside yet juicy tenderness inside — which is quite a difficult feat. However, you can’t go wrong with any of the menu items.
The restaurant itself is pretty small. Ordering part was self-service by going up to the counter. Once your order is placed, then they bring the food to your table.
The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. The nice young lady that served us.antioned that they have been there since 1986. She is the granddaughter of the founder of this restaurant. I’ve visited Santa Rosa off and on for many years and never knew about this place — quite shamefully. This is a must visit restaurant. I know this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant and I plan to dine here every time I’m in Santa Rosa!

Add-up the pricing yourself, they seem to be engaging in civil crimes of overcharging/consumer protection.
I personally ordered 9.xx amount of food, was asked to pay 16.xx
Just walk away, they will learn by loss of business.
No one is initiating civil cases on these guys, but the reviews are adding up within the context.
