We have been regular customers of Taqueria Los Gallos Express for years, which makes this review even more disappointing.
After eating there today, all four members of our family became sick. Within hours, every one of us was experiencing diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach pain. Since we all ate the same food and got sick at the same time, we have no reason to believe it was anything else.
I understand that foodborne illness can be difficult to prove with absolute certainty, but when four people eat the same meal and all become sick shortly afterward, it’s hard to ignore the obvious connection.
If I had to guess, I would suspect the beans, but I cannot say for sure. What I can say is that this was one of the worst dining experiences our family has ever had. Instead of enjoying the rest of our day, we spent it dealing with sickness.
We used to trust this restaurant and visited often. After what happened today, that trust is gone.
Was this a joke? Why did I end up with a cup of sour cream and an entire tomato slice for one taco? Am I supposed to tear it apart with my hands? Won’t make the mistake of coming here again, they clearly don’t care about repeat customers anyway.
Details:
Both tacos were very small and not filling in the slightest. Perhaps we were supposed to eat the toppings to fill up? So expensive for what it was.
For the “crispy taco” it says it comes with salsa however I got a giant slice of tomato that I could do nothing with. There were no beans either.
The “taco plate” did not come with everything, as I had asked.
I’ve been coming here for years! They have the best burritos and their tacos Al pastor are amazing, even better when it’s taco Tuesday. I recommend this spot to anyone I know because the service and food is great, big selection to choose from and the owner and employees are always so friendly
Came in for Taco Tuesday because the tacos were $1.25 and ordered 20 tacos to go. The place was extremely packed, which I understand, but I waited about 40 minutes already. When I asked for an update, I was told it would be another 40 minutes. At that point it was getting late, so I had to request a refund and leave without my order. They were also telling people still in line that the wait would be around 45 minutes. If you’re going to run specials that bring in big crowds, staffing and preparation need to match the demand. Very disappointing experience.
