We have loved tacos El Gaban for a few years now. We recently had a bout 30 people over for an event and decided to pick up catered tacos. When we left we got a call take the onions and cilantro we’re not given to us however we were in a time crunch and couldn’t turn back. The owner took his own personal time bring out the missing items even with our place being about 40 minutes away on the ridge. Truly wonderful customer service. We cannot thank you enough.

I’ve been sampling every taco shop from Auburn to Chucky and aside from the Mexican markets, this place is the best. And it’s actually cheaper than El barrio.
Fritos are ridiculously enormous. The meat is excellent. Although a little too much rice and beans. If possible, I’d recommend going late on the Reese and beans and doing extra meat.
Salsa bar is the jam.
This place is an order of magnitude better than el favorito Which is really quite average.

My 1st time at this place and the food was delicious. I ordered a burrito bowl with pollo asada… I love that they have a salsa bar with a variety of salsas.

Yesterday was my second time eating here and both times have been consistently delicious. The first time I had the chicken tortilla soup and a chicken taco. They definitely don’t skimp on the chicken. There was about half a chicken in that soup. It was so filling, I had to take it home. This time I tried their chicken chimichanga. It it huge and so flavorful. They also offer free chips and salsa at the salsa bar. Definitely recommended.

Great spot for a quick bite. Authentic flavors, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and clean restaurant. Stopped here on our way back from Reno, and it did not disappoint! Highly recommend the Diablo Shrimp, Chile Relleno, and Tacos. 10 out of 10!
