Ordered chicken tikka masala and butter chicken, and I honestly wish I just got frozen meals from Target. It was the least flavorful Indian food that I have ever had. The naan had a terribly overly chewy consistency. Both dishes were under salted and seasoned, and just tasted like vaguely sweet tomato sauce. I have had really good Indian food and this meal made me wish I had gone to Burger King.
The quality of food…let’s start there. You can sit at the counter and watch them make the naan. It smells like fresh garlic and happiness. Reheating it is almost better. The service is exceptional and the atmosphere is just atmospheric….seriously. quality good, homemade food. Makes you feel like you took a trip east. Good job. Forever customer.
Food and service were both excellent here! We had veggie pakoras, dal makhani, and vegetable korma with tandoori rotis and rice. Prepared medium spicy and it was just perfect for our tastes. The portions were great and the restaurant was very clean (including the bathrooms). The server was very well mannered and efficient. Food arrived quickly and hit the spot after a long day of driving/hiking!
We were a bit worried about it with the reviews. However, lunch was quick, hot, and yummy. The cheese naan was bomb. The spicy chicken saag had good flavor and was a good amount of food. My husband got the lunch thali and liked everything except the butter chicken. I would agree with the other reviews to not order the butter chicken – the curry had a strange flavor and the chicken is almost like pulled chicken. Since he had plenty of other options, I decided not to take off a star for that.
Nourishing lunch special – very flavourful and fresh and delicious. Totally underrated – there is never anyone here unfortunately. Must be because in a rough part of town but so worth it. Made a perfectly hot, spiced and milk chai tea for me
