The food is very salty. I tried a burrito de carne asada and tacos de carne asada and both were too too salty. Also the beans are salty. I tried putting salsa in the beans to tone it down, but didnt work. The spot is good because they’re fast. Just have to work on getting the salt down
This place was very clean. Bathroom and all. I heard this place had good food, and i heard correctly. I had the carnetas plate and i was definitely impressed. The refried beans were light and fluffy and had flavor like i had never had. Best refried beans I’ve ever had.
I visited this place a couple weeks ago for the first time and I will not return. I am a retired gourmet chef. I ordered the chile Rhellenos with rice and beans to go. When I got home there was only 1 chile! I was supposed to be two of them. Needless to say, everything tasted terrible and I will not return. So far I have reviewed three Mexican restaurants here in Woodland and none of you have made five stars. I feel bad for people that give Mexican restaurants. Good ratings when actually the food is awful compared to mine. I have wonderful Mexican recipes. If I had my own restaurant here every other Mexican restaurant would be shut down cuz I’m a very good cook and hard to please when it comes to good food at restaurants. All I can say is good luck with your future endeavors because I will not return. I hate giving bad reviews. I’m sorry for that but I have to be honest so I can help other people to find the best restaurant in town to go to and I have not found that yet. Keep following my reviews And hopefully there will be something with five stars.
What goes on here? Taco Tuesday is now a catch-all phrase for, “we’re going out” because the motivating factor in that no-decision made is the tacos have gotten better and better each week, so much so that taco express is a habit forming serious addiction. From their tacos on Tuesday to the pozole on any day, their taste for pleasing your palate is the finest compliment for your appreciation and well-being this side of San Diego from the border of Mexico. Hands down my favorite local bite!
