We held our wedding here over Memorial Day weekend and it was truly the most perfect weekend. Switzer Farm was the first venue we looked at and we knew we had to book it immediately! The property is so magical and was the perfect place to host all of our closest friends and family for the few days. Gary was also so helpful with making sure we were set up with everything we needed to know to make the weekend as perfect as it could be. Would highly recommend!

Switzer Farm was my dream venue and working with owner Gary made it even better than I imagined. From our first tour to pre-wedding emails to his support throughout the wedding weekend, Gary was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our experience special.
Gary and his family have created a space that feels cozy, beautiful, and deeply intentional. Every detail reflects the care they’ve put into this place. Our dream was to have all our closest friends and family together in one spot, and Switzer Farm delivered exactly that. What makes it truly unique is how each event – rehearsal, brunch, ceremony, reception – felt entirely its own, all within the same intimate setting.
Gary also provided an incredible list of local vendors, many of whom we ended up working with and loved. Highly recommend Zoe Braga Events (coordinating), Eva Lina Floral, CaliCosta Catering, A Sweet Affair (dessert), Beauty on Set (hair and makeup), Mendocino Outland Bartending, Matt Rowland Events (Rentals), Tour Mendocino (Transportation), and Rhoads Side Restrooms.
If you want a wedding weekend where every moment feels magical and everyone stays close, this is the place. We couldn’t have asked for more.

My husband and I had our wedding at Switzer Farm last year, and I truly cannot say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, the entire weekend felt like an absolute dream.
We were able to accommodate our immediate families on the property for the full wedding weekend. Having everyone together in one place created such a meaningful, intimate experience that we will never forget. It felt less like a venue and more like a once in a lifetime home we were lucky enough to stay in for a few days.
As a designer, I was especially blown away by the restoration work done on the house. The owner, Gary, has done an incredible job bringing the property back to life while preserving its character and charm. Every detail is thoughtful, beautiful, and impeccably cared for.
Gary was also incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He provided so much information and guidance, and it made planning so much easier. Our vendors were local and already familiar with the venue, which made everything run seamlessly.
We were beyond grateful for the opportunity to celebrate such an important weekend there, and honestly, I was so sad to leave when it was over. It was magical, unforgettable, and truly the most special place we could have imagined getting married.

We recently had our wedding at Switzer Farm and it was beyond magical! The house, property, and everything that surrounds it is drop dead gorgeous. The detail put into the house itself is incredible – it is a dreamy place to get to stay for a few days! You won’t want to leave. We lucked out with October weather. It was warm enough to take down the walls of our tent, and our guests were in awe of the beauty.
To anyone planning a wedding here, I would recommend looking into the local vendors. We were able to save a lot of money by simply hiring local people (and on top of that, it was super helpful to have people who were familiar with the property and how it works). To name a few: Mendocino Outland bartending, Matt Rowland rentals, Black Dog Farm and Uneda Eat catering, First Class Transportation, Hey Hey Wedding Day planning, Love You, Nadine photograpahy, Brendan Liu DJ. Everyone we worked with was incredible!

We were so lucky to have our wedding at Switzer Farm! From the moment we started planning, we could tell how much love and care Gary puts into this gorgeous property. Every corner of the venue felt thoughtfully designed — the views, the details, the atmosphere — it was all absolutely breathtaking.
Gary was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. He was incredibly kind, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went perfectly for us. We had endless questions over the two year planning process and Gary was always available to answer everything. You can tell he truly cares about every couple who celebrates here. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made the experience feel effortless and stress-free.
Our wedding weekend was everything we dreamed of and more, and so much of that is thanks to Gary and this amazing venue. Our guests had the best time, and would not stop raving about the location! We’ll be forever grateful for such an unforgettable experience.
