When the restaurant next door had issues seating our party to THEIR liking, Sunset Cantina stepped up, waved us over handed us menus and made it happen. The food was really good! Authentic with a sophisticated flare. Portions are a decent size and the prices are pretty average to what you would expect to pay for good food at a Beach . They had world cup games on and drink specials on the menu, and a world cup raffle going on! So the atmosphere was fun! Overall I was pleased to have ended up there and would visit again if I was staying in that area. I had a salad and my husband had the quesabirrias. Both were large portions with plenty meat!
Nice outdoor seating. Great bar tender. Beer is cold. Food….check photo. If you are comfortable with this amount of grease and equal amount of salt. Go for it. 3 small tacos 1 beer draft and 4$ tip=32.00
10/10-We had a great time and enjoyed our quick bites. The bartender was nice, helpful, and knowledgeable of menu items. We enjoyed the vegan options, drinks, music, and vibe. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I definitely recommend you give them a try!!!
We came at 4pm on a Tuesday so they had a Happy Hour menu. We ordered 4 tacos (Happy Hour menu) and a machete (regular menu) and we didn’t have to wait long for our food to arrive. Food was good and service was attentive.
On 4/21/26, we came back again in the late afternoon and had the machete al pastor and 5 happy hour tacos this time. The carne asada taco was my favorite, while my husband liked the crispy picadillo as it reminded him of having Taco Bell tacos while he was a child. The machete al pastor had pineapple pieces so it tasted different from the machete carnitas last time. Fast service so we were done and walked out the door in less than 45 minutes!
