Sunhawk Farms is more than just a natural retreat; it’s a place where the soul is deeply nourished by a truly healing and nurturing land. The water here is magical—so soft and pure that it leaves your body feeling completely restored from the inside out. We never even had to put on shoes during our stay, as the grass was so impeccably cared for and soft underfoot. A special thank you to Sara, who was an incredible host. Her warmth and attention to detail made our weekend stay so special and comfortable. I highly recommend and we can’t wait to return!

Came here for Pickleball camp sponsored by Will Tams, June 2026. SunHawk Farms exceeded all expectations!!! John the creator/owner is friendly, warm, down to earth, and a fascinating visionary. Sarah his daughter-equally kind & warm, provided delicious & abundant meals of fresh fruit, veggies (many from their own organic garden) and various proteins to accommodate our groups different diets. The grounds, lake, glamping tents, hot tub, trails and pickleball courts were all well kept and in wonderful condition.
In short, I highly recommend SunHawk if you want a wonderful, relaxing getaway in peaceful, rustic Mendocino county!

If you are looking to elevate your pickleball skills while genuinely relaxing, the SunHawk Farms Camp is unmatched. Coaches Will Tams and Barry Ko complement each other perfectly. Their instruction is highly attentive and thoughtful, pushing you to improve with just the right mix of tough love, high encouragement, and lots of laughter.
The hospitality at this eco-paradise is top-tier. Every meal was absolutely delicious made with tons of produce from the gardens, and the amenities made the weekend feel like a true vacation. My favorite moments off the court were diving into the lake to cool off and soaking in the hot tub before heading to bed. Plus, our suite’s gorgeous tile shower was a beautiful touch of luxury. Highly recommend!

I was lucky enough to spend Summer Solstice 2026 at SunHawk Farms. The SunHawk setting was perfect for our 42nd Solstice Party. We could enjoy nature all around, with the comfort that our footprint on the Earth was minimized. This took all of the fun to the next level; it was a truly beautiful weekend. I am deeply grateful to the Schaeffer family for sharing their vision of Eco Living with the rest of us.

We celebrated a friend’s 50th birthday at SunHawk – with 20+ adults in June, and we all loved the venue. The owner & hosts were super accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for the weekend – plentiful towels, water toys, and much more. The lake was perfect for frolicking, beds were super comfortable, and the outdoor kitchen was perfect for group meals. I wish I had more time to explore the grounds, but we were too busy enjoying ourselves & the great company. Highly recommended! A beautiful oasis where you can escape the day-to-day and enjoy nature!
