We went in July and it was cold! The campgrounds, visitor center and attractions are far apart. The bathrooms are old but clean. We were at site 99 and the bear box key did not work (apparently many are broken). We reported it but they did not fix it while we were there. The campsites were pretty well maintained. They had to cut the blackberry back quite a bit. Be cautious of the raccoons which will steal food right in front of you. There was a bear siting three days before we got there. The short hike to the beach was nice. It was mostly rocky with little sand. But it was lots of fun looking through the cool rocks. The kids had fun chasing the waves. The village and visitor center were very informative and provided an interesting perspective.

Absolutely amazing! The camp sites are very well maintained, the bathrooms are clean and spider free. And the bonus is showers. I do wish the showers had a bathroom in them but was very grateful for the shower. We also visited agate beach. It’s a somewhat steep walk but well worth it!

Amazing place. Growing up we went here hundreds of times to escape the brutal heat of Redding CA. The Native American village is neat with their half underground huts. Wedding Rock gives you an awesome view of the coast line. Agate Beach is beautiful. We all love the whole town of Trinidad.

This park’s always been a favorite, even when it was the other name. There’s hiking all over the place, access to the cliffs of the rocky ocean shore, and even access right down to the beach for some excellent tide pool action. There’s an interpretive Sue-meg village, a visitor center, and more. You can drive all over the park and take in little short hikes here or there, or do the bigger Rim Trail that might take you half a day.

Beautiful Park. We did not have enough time to spend there. We were only there a few hours but it was so beautiful. A short walk down a nature trail to the beach.
