Such a gorgeous setting to enjoy wonderful wines and the storytelling of a family run operation. So much pride and thought goes into each decision of their wine making process and you can taste it! Colleen and Rick are amazing hosts and their dog, Booker the golden retriever, was the best greeter.
Amazing wine tasting and tour experience. Great history and delicious wine. Everyone working there has a great passion for wine. Rick was a great host and we even got to meet his winemaking wife – Colleen. Super cool place, highly recommend.
Great wine and amazing story telling by Rick. We stumbled upon this winery as we were passing the area and just entered the most amazing winery. He seated us between the sequoia trees and poured us the wines. Great stories behind every wine and the owner Jerry.
Definitely a must stop on your next trip to wine country.
Storybook is truly a one of a kind experience and holds a very special place in my heart. It was one of the very first wineries I visited when I turned 21, and I’ve been raving about it ever since. There’s something so magical about this property. the literal story behind the winery is beautiful, and the setting feels like the perfect Napa Valley experience.
I recently came back to show some friends around, and it reminded me exactly why I fell in love with it in the first place. We toured both the caves and the vineyards, which made the visit feel immersive and special. Even though you’re tasting alongside a small group, the experience still feels intimate and personal.
One of the best parts was getting to interact with other guests from out of town. It created such a warm, welcoming atmosphere and made the tasting even more memorable. It’s not just about the wine it’s about the experience, the history, and the connections you make while you’re there.
I absolutely recommend visiting. It is a little ways out from town, so be sure to secure transportation and make a reservation ahead of time for the smoothest experience.
An amazing family-run winery with a historic wine cave and a delicious portfolio of Zinfandels. At $50 per person, it’s a great value especially considering how many wines you get to try. Very informative tour about all aspects of the winemaking process, from their organic farming practices to their natural fermentation method using indigenous yeast. Highly recommended if interested in the winemaking process from a smaller producer focused on quality over quantity.
