Kept getting lost trying to find the place, honestly its tucked away and my phones map was acting up but once I parked it was so worth it.
Grabbed a coffee and a pastry and the coffee was perfect, didnt even need sugar or anything which says alot for me becuase I usually dress it up with cream and all that, I ended up sitting outside just watching people and it was the most relaxing half hour Ive had in weeks.
The service was super friendly and quick, they knew exactly what I wanted when I said a strong morning coffee type drink, it makes such a differance when the staff just gets it.
Ive already told two freinds about this place and Im planning my next trip up to Angwin just for another one, the vibe was perfect.
This is officially my second-ever gas station review — the first was for fish tacos, and now here I am writing about an $11 Tropical Kale smoothie.
On our drive back from Calistoga to Berkeley, my bestie and I needed a quick snack, and this stop in St. Helena was perfectly timed. She’s been here plenty of times; it was my first visit.
I went the smoothie route (solid, refreshing, did the job), but I couldn’t help noticing that most people were walking out with pizza. That seemed to be the move.
The place had a steady flow of locals and road-trippers, which is always a good sign when you’re pulling off the highway.
It was quick, easy, and exactly what we needed in the moment. Will I be back? Probably not, but this might be perfect for you.
Okay, so Station St. Helena is a gas station, but don’t let that fool you—it’s also a sandwich shop with aspirations of grandeur. Yes, you’re filling up your car, but you could also be filling up your stomach with a sandwich that’ll make you question if you’re actually in a Michelin-star restaurant. It’s a little on the pricey side for what you’re getting, but hey, it’s a gourmet gas station, so who am I to complain?
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting much beyond fuel and maybe a stale bag of chips. Instead, I was hit with a perfectly crafted sandwich that was almost too beautiful to eat (but I did anyway). The flavors were bold, the ingredients fresh—clearly, they’ve mastered the art of fancy sammies.
Would I return? Absolutely, but maybe just for a snack, not a full-blown lunch. It’s a treat… for your taste buds and your wallet!

One of my favorite places to stop and grab a coffee or sweet treats. The staff is always very friendly and the quality is on point.
