We ordered at the 4th of July jubilee in Arcata. Got a Korean chicken and rice bowl and a Kentucky spicy chicken sandwich. Staff was friendly, food was done remarkably quickly (about 15 minutes) and it was very very good. I got medium spice on the sandwich, which is probably a little spicy for the more sensitive, but I found delicious. The sandwich was a little messy, which is as it should be.
The rice bowl was also extremely good! My wife got the sweet and spicy gochujang sauce option and it was fabulous.
This was a great chicken sandwich spot I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich love to see great new local spots open I also saw they have rice and chicken which I’m definitely gonna come back and try 10/10 the owner is very friendly the food taste fresh and environment was clean ( SO COME EAT HERE )
Tried this for the first time with my husband tonight as it was a little later and we really didn’t want fast food. THIS PLACE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The spring rolls and their house made peanut sauce were both fresh and packed with flavor. The chefs were super kind- we tried a sample of their fried chicken and it was perfectly cooked. Love when supporting local pays off with happy taste buds! PS check their page they’re open late nights sometimes from 9pm-2am!
The food was incredible! My group of 3 ordered the Korean fried tofu, Korean fried chicken, tofu spring rolls, shrimp & pork spring rolls and the sweet lumpia. We tried every sauce offered as well and even mixed some together. The chicken was fried to perfection and the tofu was well seasoned with that epic umami flavor. And the sweet lumpia? Well is was like otherworldly pie and crispy lumpia had a baby that took on all the best features of both! Everyone was friendly and excited to share their wonderfully tasting wares as we were excited to get fat and happy trying everything! I only thought to take a photo of the tofu spring rolls, but trust a foodie here, everything is on point.
Awesome experience grabbing takeout late night. Service was excellent and food was fresh and piping hot. Tried all 3 Korean fried chicken sauce flavors and they were all excellent, but I’m a sucker for gochujang. The dessert lumpia were also deliciously crispy and sweet without being overly sweet. Can’t wait to come back and try everything else on the menu. Late night is such a blessing! Don’t sleep on this spot.
