Excellent experience. Waited in a long line but it went so quick! Worth the wait. The staff were fast, friendly, efficient. Food came out quick too. It’s family style seating so you’ll most likely be sharing a table with another party. The pollo sandwich was light, balanced flavors while filling?! And large portions – took half home. The Bistec sandwich was also excellent but next time will try the Cubano. PR fries were dry will skip those next time.
The drinks were refreshing (limeade and orange mango). Def go!!

I heard about this place from friends & coworkers. Not to mention, all the hype that it’s one of Bad Bunny’s favorite Puerto Rican restaurants in the Bay Area.
There’s always a line. If you’re ordering for take out, they have a storefront next door taking orders. The inside was spacious but packed. Service was good. Apparently, they’re known for their chicken & smashed plantain. The chicken & shrimp were delicious. Unfortunately, I wasn’t a fan of the smashed plantain. It was a lot of food. I was really full.
I seldom rave about drinks but the limeade was SO good! I would go back just to order the limeade! It was THAT good! The glass it came in was huge too. I highly recommend the chicken dish & limeade!

FOUND A STICKER ON MY FOOD.
As a Boricua, I was excited to try this place, but found myself so disappointed. The menu was all over the place and the food was stale, bland, and overly oiled. Looks like they don’t even properly wash the ingredients. What else isn’t clean?
Throwing a plantain and oregano around, does not make a dish Puerto Rican. How do you mess up a tostón and charge $7? Not sure why I saw some reviews saying this tastes authentic. Aside from mofongo, and the “tostones”, nearly all of these dishes are not things you can order around the island.

Well I FINALLY got to try this place out! Been trying to get here for years!
So today I took the smart train down to San Rafael and a short walk around the block for an amazing lunch!!
I had the Sandwich de Pollo which is a very tasty chicken sandwich made with baked chicken, ham, sautéed onion, Swiss cheese, tomato, organic greens, cilantro-lime mayo. To….DIE FOR!
Had a Ponce to drink with it (Mix of orange-mango iced tea & limeade). Amazing!
All in all I highly recommend!!!

Every time I pass by San Rafael I have to stop here. I usually order from their to-go side of the shop since they’re super busy and the line to get seated is soooo long. It moves quickly but I usually just grab food to go. Biztec sandwich is what I eat here every single time. I tried it recently with the tostones which is basically plantains as a bun, was good. Their hot sauce is yummy. The house made orange mango iced tea drink also great!!
