The hotel is a great value for money. The fireplace, kitchen, wine glasses and beautiful coffee mugs were nice to have. I loved the patio with the Shasta view a lot. We stayed at cabin 5. It is really cozy, but the shower head needs to be changed, it is not working properly.
We love this inn. The decor is lovely and thoughtful, with little touches that make each “cabin” unique and charming. So far we have stayed in cabins 2, 3 and 6 and have enjoyed them all. We do have one wish: that the microfiber sheets be replaced with cotton ones. Sleeping on microfiber is like trying to relax in a plastic bag. Now, we bring our own flannel sheets. That is a small price to pay for such excellent accommodations. One other quibble: the bathroom sinks could really use those little mesh traps so your toothpaste top doesn’t go down the drain! That’s an easy fix. Otherwise, this is absolutely our favorite place to stay on our trips to Mt. Shasta. The Shasta View Lodge is a beautifully-articulated expression of warm and welcoming energy with high-end finishes, delightful details, and comfort all around.
It was a great stay overall, initially planned for one night and extended to two. The room is very tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. The lodge is in a good location, a five minute drive from the small town of McCloud where you’ll find a few restaurants and a coffee shop. All rooms would be quiet given very little traffic on the street and far enough away from main highway to not be an issue. There is no one on site but you can leave a message and management will address any issue. Strong recommendation, I would definitely stay again.
Although we enjoyed staying in cabin 5 only thing that was disappointing was the TV was too small considering the size of the room and there wasn’t a true shower it was the bathtub with a curtain. I love seat would have been nice to have than just a single chair such as cabin 2. We always love staying at Shasta View Lodge. The cabins are always clean and well stocked. And the view is absolutely gorgeous. Overall we will always choose Shasta View Lodge…Carol
Beautifully maintained property, super comfortable room with excellent upgraded amenities. Modern and aesthetically appealing. The bed was very comfortable as well! The nearby town of Mccloud had an outdoor shop and grocery shop. Delicious meal at Sage Restaurant also close. Stand Up Paddling on the Mccloud reservoir was just a short 20 min drive away and was the calmest, not crowed lake we’ve been to. It was almost surreal.
