My family and I came here for a birthday dinner and we were all blown away. Derrick is an amazing waiter, he provided great suggestions regarding the menu and made my birthday feel special. We could not ask for better service, as Derrick is amazing.
The food and drinks are excellent. I had the Red in Rhapsody cocktail, which was not too sweet and I loved the mint. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Burrata and Squid Ink Pasta. Both were delicious, with each dish making us excited to try the next.
The restaurant is on the pricier side, but it is worth it for the food and service. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great too, I loved the incorporation of elements from the old steel mill which the restaurant is in. A must try if in Arcata or Eureka.
Sadly I was pretty disappointed in the food here. It’s pretty pricey. I paid $44 for my entree alone and it was very under seasoned. The presentation was nice. Honestly everything was under seasoned. I felt like there was no depth of flavor. I know I keep mentioning it but honestly it tasted like tomato and the tiniest amount of salt. There was a lemon on the side but that’s it. Very one demential. The broccoli was HARD. Seems it was barely steamed. They dishes seem inconsistent. My husband and I got two different menues and I guess one was outdated they had different things in each. When looking online at photos the dishes are changed constantly. The calamari was the only thing I think was worth the money. There’s some nasty construction outside too. The interior is cute.
Excellent choice for people looking for excellence. I love visiting the area, but staying in McKinleyville, the dining choices are a bit limited for people looking for a dining experience. That was my thoughts before I came to Salt. From the friendly and prompt service to the delicious drink and food, I was very content with my selection. The ambulance is perfect for intimate get together or a romantic dinner.
I started with a mescal drink called Smoke and Mirrors. Their rendition was very flavorful, with a bit of smoke, sweet and just a delight to try. If you are mescal curious, try this!
I went wimpy and got a pizza. It’s one of my favorite foods, and with the option to add the mushrooms to the sausage pizza, I went with it. It does have calibri peppers in it, which are fantastic. A little bit of heat but nice flavor that really added to the overall great flavor of the pizza. Nice crisp crust as well. Yum dudes!
Food Bland!!! SooooSad..
25$ Cheeseburger, small, and bland. The other dishes i saw come out were quite small. Heard 3 diff complaints about pizza. Really wanted to like it!!
