Tried Safeway delivery for first time today. Paid extra(12.00) for express delivery at (1053). Don’t have the order yet (1209)
Tried to do their chat help system didn’t work, tried to contact delivery driver they assigned, didn’t work., finally had to call the store. They said oh sorry we had a glitch in the delivery system. Blamed on door dash. I didn’t order through door dash. If I did I would already have my order. I would have spent the same amount of money on door dash fees instead of of paying for extra fees for something I didn’t get

It was a holiday weekend and I needed items from the deli. It was very busy! I have to give a shout out to these two people in the deli: A young man named Shiloh and a lovely woman named Mara. They were both impressive with multitasking skills and SO NICE…even to some people that were being kind of rude. Great job! P.S. The fried chicken was the hit of the potluck!

Don’t shop here if you would like to actually get the items you need. The store is in shambles and so mismanaged the store manager himself has zero sense of urgency to get his department’s stocked. After having a conversation with him I could tell he could care less so I made a call to corporate but never heard back from them either. There are plenty of other shopping options but it really is too bad considering this is the closest store to oakmont and should serve the elderly community better

Safeway consistently delivers a top-notch grocery shopping experience. The store is well-organized, clean, and offers a wide variety of fresh produce, quality meats, and pantry staples. The staff is helpful and friendly, always willing to assist with questions or special requests. Checkout is efficient, with plenty of lanes and self-checkout options to keep lines moving. In addition to great weekly deals, the bakery and deli sections are standout highlights. Safeway makes grocery shopping easy and enjoyable—highly recommended!

Had such a bad experience here I’m still thinking about it. I ordered a heart-shaped cake from the bakery for my baby shower. I ordered it online, because they had it as an option. I’m 8 months pregnant, and went to pick it up the day before my baby shower. The lady who gave me the cake didn’t make it but she even admitted it didn’t look like a heart. We took the cake anyway because we unfortunately didn’t have time to have it re made or get it somewhere else, but I don’t think you should advertise heart-shaped cakes if you can’t make them. When we went to the check out line to pay for the cake (we weren’t even offered a discount or anything) I was standing at the end of the checkout texting my sister about the cake while my mother was paying, and the man working the register SLAPPED the counter at me like a dog, attempting to startle me off of being on my phone. When I looked up at him he made an extremely rude comment about how he likes to do that to people who have their face in their phones, basically trying to shame me for being on my phone in public. I am not a child who needs to be taught a lesson and I was not being rude to him whatsoever. I unfortunately did not get his name but he was an older guy working the express lane on Thursday 1/8/2026 at around 4pm. If you want to be publicly shamed/dehumanized while paying for a product that isn’t what you ordered, go to this Safeway.
