Peaceful little park that only goes up! Really enjoyed walking through the Sitka spruce and ferns. The paths are narrow and feel like you’re going to take a turn and see a fairytale creature.
Beautiful hike in a forest environment with lots of ferns. The trail goes up to a small pond with moss. Then, you head down. There are other loop trails. Our walk was about two miles. The trail is narrow, so your dog needs to walk ahead of you. It was a moderate hike with a lot of roots on the path. I’m glad I brought my walking stick. Signage was great and there was no trash.
What a beautiful Park in a terrific location. Parking is a bit Limited but the trails are wonderful. It’s a great place to practice your balance and flexibility. There’s a lot of tree roots on the trails that help your footing going up and down. This time of year there are many Trillium and wildflowers popping up. It was my first Adventure here but it won’t be my last
Nice Park! It’s not very technical, but steep in parts near the top. I broke a sweat by the time I got to the very top and was rewarded with an amazing view of the valley below. Cool little loop on the way down around a pond and views of Ferndale. Clearly marked trails that are well maintained. Some evidence of larger animals, but besides birds and 2 bunnie wabbits, nothing encountered. Beautiful park.
I absolutely love this trail. It’s very well maintained. I walk there about 10 times a year or more. Their are areas where you really get a good workout but not for long. Stops to do and sit on benches . Nature all around. Birds , and I am sure of wildlife. So be careful.
There’s a lookout area to sit at a table to admire Ferndale.
And other area to sit by a pond. It’s just a very nice trail.
Enjoy & please respect it and others.
