Definitely recommend Roche winery! We first visited the downtown location in Sonoma while staying at the El Dorado hotel and ended up joining the wine club with Lori. We then visited the winery, which is beautiful, and had great service with Jonathan. We moved on to Napa and ended up coming back to the winery because we liked the Roche wines the best. Mark took care of us and gave us a great tour and awesome service. Looking forward to our wines coming in our first shipment.
Went to roche as a walkin an hour before closing and they were fantastic. The merlot we got was delicious and the vibes were great. Staff were knowledgeable and super nice and accommodating. Would love to go back for a tasting or tour when we visit again.
Very nice experience…great ambiance. Mark was very down to earth and knowledgeable about the wine and the area…great conversationalist and attentive. Sat on the patio around the fire table and met another couple, retreating to the covered patio area when the rain started. Wine was delicious. Bought two bottles and considered the wine club
Tom and his crew were as kind as can be! They gave an incredible tour of the winery, including not only the history of the region but also expert knowledge on the wine making process. As a smaller winery, you can tell this crew really cares about what they do. Loved their merlot and Tamarix which really surprised me! Highly recommend this as your first stop in the area to dip into Sonoma wine.
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Roche Winery & Vineyard, particularly enjoying the wine and barrel tasting! Our host, Rodd, was truly outstanding—so friendly, informative, and engaging. He made our tasting experience feel incredibly special and truly one for our family to remember.
The wines themselves were delicious, and our group’s favorites were the Longford Cabernet, the Chardonnay (American Oak), and the Merlot. All were great choices! We thoroughly enjoyed both the cozy outdoor atmosphere (complete with a lovely fireplace) and the fascinating indoor barrel tasting.
A major highlight was being able to walk the vineyard while sipping on our Merlot—the views were simply breathtaking! We highly recommend stopping by Roche Winery & Vineyard. Do yourself a favor and ask for Rodd; you won’t be disappointed!
