Had the southwestern bowl no meat. The rice was tasty but super greasy and the dish must have been contaminated because I got sick from eating it. The staff service was awesome. It’s a cute place. I’d go for her for drinks but that’s it.
This is an unexpected delight in the heart of downtown Colusa. The restaurant is open and inviting. The menu is varied and eclectic. Service was prompt and attentive. Tye food was well prepared and very tasty, with generous portions. The restaurant appeared to be very popular with the locals, which tells you everything you need to know!
While in Colusa I was recommended to try this place. They open at 11am for lunch.
The inside is rustic with a hometown feel. They have a full bar as well.
I tried the aged beef sandwich that comes with a jus and a side. I chose the soup, which was chicken with poblano with the right amount of spice and it was delicious! Unfortunately the sandwich was lacking in flavor for my taste and the portion of meat could have been more ample. The bread was soft and delightful and the A jus helped enhance the flavor.
They have daily “blue light specials” that are more wallet friendly that include a entree with a side and a soda (15 bucks). The waitress said that have great Wednesday night specials and the weekends are packed for prime rib.
It’s a nice and much needed spot in Colusa. The waitress (Olivia) was very accommodating and friendly! Customers are friendly as well.
I can see coming back on a Wednesday night when they have their smoker going!
It was still a really good experience and will definitely come back again!
Great food! Their famous cheese bread is a must and they even offer take & bake or shipping nationwide, which says a lot about this bread. I had the steak and fries which was steak bites over fries drizzled with chimichurri, steak was cooked perfectly, fries were crispy and their chimichurri was delicious. They have a decent wine selection, so I had a glass. My husband had the hickory burger with fries and he enjoyed it. I would definitely come again the next time I come to Colusa.
