Extremely friendly manager with excellent service and food.
I came in for takeout yesterday – manager was very personable, offered my free ice cream while I waited. Honestly my expectations weren’t high but the food quality blew me away – moist beef brisket and juicy ribs. I was also given generous portions of both the regular and spicy bbq sauce.
Only thing was there was a slight mixup resulting in me only getting two of the three meats I ordered, but that was quickly fixed when I went back.
The next time I’m north of the Golden gate again and feeling like bbq I’ll definitely be returning for sure!

Stopped for lunch on a Sunday; the mall was sad, with stores closed, but the barbecue was delicious. I had the chicken chop salad with hot barbecue sauce. The baseball game was on, and takeout orders were busy. Prices were reasonable, and I will return.

I’d love for an owner to chime in amd explain this. Someone served this to my daughter. This appears to be chicken that was burnt in a fryer, re-breaded and then placed back in the fryer. This place used to be amazing. Some of the best bbq west of MS. I can’t see ever going back here. They are cutting serious corners. The sweet tea has never been like this, and my potato salad tasted like crab. No crab on the menu.

Have seen this place hundreds of times over 15 years but never tried it. Decided to today, Sunday, for lunch. I thought my sandwich was solid. Nice toasted roll, and a decent serving of chicken veggies and cheese. I typically like cole slaw and theirs is very ginger forward which I didn’t mind, not creamy like other places. The order was out in a very reasonable amount of time and over half the tables were full. I’d come here again for this sandwich. Nothing was over the top amazing, but very solid.

This place is way better than you would expect for a restaurant in a mall setting. The baby back ribs and BBQ sandwiches are tender and delicious. Plus they offer free self-serve ice cream for dessert. I also want to point out how friendly the employees are. This is one of our favorite counter service restaurants for dinner.
