I have absolutely loved this park for 20+ years now. The trails are moderate to easy, you can enjoy nature, there is usually plenty of parking and often feels safe to walk alone. The park was updated and wonderful for children.

Most beautiful park I’ve ever been to. Took my nephew and he had a blast. The playground is high quality and safe. Plenty of places to have a picnic. There’s a large open grass area. Bathrooms are clean. Great place to spend a couple hours.

Hands down one of the most wonderful parks I have ever been to. Amazing scenery, centrally located in Arcata, and incredibly well maintained trails. Coming from the East Coast, it was a truly humbling and remarkable experience. Very thankful to have experienced it!

I always enjoy walking around this park in the middle of town, but it makes you feel like you’re in the middle of nature! Stunningly, beautiful, redwood trees, especially for an East Coast guy. Well maintained trails and there has been plenty of parking each time I have gone there. The new children’s playground is impressive and there is a skate/bike course to ride along.
