How can I even begin to describe Promontory? It is not only an architectural masterpiece, but an experience unlike any other.
From the moment we arrived, our host, Ashley, made us feel less like visitors and more like we had been invited into the Harlan family’s home. She shared the story behind Promontory with such warmth, passion, and authenticity that it felt incredibly intimate. Rather than simply tasting wine, we were invited to understand the family’s philosophy, their dedication to the craft, and the care that goes into every bottle. It was a rare and unforgettable experience.
The setting is breathtaking—the architecture, the water, the trees, even the scent of the surrounding landscape all come together to create something truly magical.Ashley made the visit extraordinary. We couldn’t have asked for a better host.
And the wine… simply exceptional. The Cabernet is the best I’ve ever had.
This wasn’t just a winery visit; it felt like being welcomed into a family’s passion and life’s work. It was special in a way that’s hard to put into words, and it’s an experience we’ll never forget. We are already looking forward to coming back.

My fiancé and I did the tour about a week ago and it was stunning. Beautiful property and the view will blow your mind the first step in the door. Top that off with some of the best wine you will ever have and it’s an experience you will always remember. Cannot recommend this one enough, it is a bucket list item. Ashley was our host and she was awesome!!

We visited 8 wineries during our trip and this tasting and tour was, by far, the best we experienced not to mention their wine was amazing. Started off with being offered champagne from a bottle of 2013 Dom Perignon! The grounds and wine making areas of the winery were amazing. The architecture was incredible and the views terrific. Kaede was our tour person and she was incredible. Providing wonderful information about Promontory and its history. After the tour she brought us to a private room to taste some great wines. Truly worth every penny for what was an expensive tasting and tour. We will visit again
