The head-tilt experience at Picobar in Calistoga was nothing short of extraordinary. Chef Gustavo Rios and his team outdid themselves. From the imaginative, fresh, and utterly delicious tacos, to thoughtful extras like a greeting cocktail, delightful amuse-bouche plates, and desserts, every detail was perfection. The use of fresh ingredients, like squid, tuna, salmon roe, duck confit, pork rib, beef ribeye, and lobster, was inspired. Truly, this is a level of culinary artistry deserving of at least one Michelin star. Thank you chef Rios, Ruby, Pao, Marco, Lilly, and the rest of the staff. I apologize if I didn’t get your name or misspelled it. You were still an integral part of an amazing night! I look forward to doing this again.

I have already been here a couple of times this year, both on warm sunny days…..what a great atmosphere to soak up a nice day! The tacos, fresh chips and salsas were outstanding, and the service warm and attentive. Can’t wait to come back again soon, it’s a fantastic stop for lunch during a scenic motorcycle ride!

Amazing poolside lunch! The recommended whipped avocado appetizer and Tacos Al Psstor were both excellent. Perfect spot for a casual, high-quality meal by the water.

Made a reservation here for lunch while visiting Calistoga. We didn’t stay at this property but it was great to check out! Located at the Solage resort by the pool, you can’t sit by the pool (only for resort guests). We started with a round of tequila shots and ordered some drinks, I think I got the green flash. We got items to share for a party of 5. Elote, hearts of romaine salad, ceviches, squid/calamari. So fresh and so good. We did a. Variety of tacos— quesabirria, crispy avocado, and fish tacos. We devoured our meal it was so fresh and delicious! For dessert we got the churros and chocolate, flan, tres leches French toast, and Mangonada. Really good, service was good. Our server was super kind and friendly. It’s also such a relaxing and beautiful area while enjoying lunch by the pool on a nice and hot day. There’s hotel parking and not too far from the Calistoga festivities.

Who doesn’t love a world class luxury resort with a restaurant outlet that everyone talks about? Pico Bar highlights flavors from the Ensenada coast and the seasonality of wine county.

Prior to visiting Pico Bar, I already heard so many good things. After about a year of hearing about the place I finally had the opportunity to try it out during a spa day

Pico Bar is conveniently located by the pool and is open to the public. There is plenty of seating from the bar, seated tables and the fire pit.

The bartender was so helpful and was able to give us recommendations on his favorite items on the menu including the drinks.

Food came out quickly and I know this might seem basic but I really enjoyed the elote. The Quesa-Birra tacos were also a crowd pleaser. The hospitality was amazing from the team and just as good as the food. Truly can’t go wrong with what you choose on the menu. The calamar for me seemed a bit overdone but was still a good experience. I think some of the items are a bit overpriced but the quality of the food makes it all worth it.
