Has special vegan taco. They have fresh salsa my favorite was the avocado salsa. Today they have some sort of cabbage as condiments. Found out on weekends they do handmade tortillas and their tacos and enchiladas
I had got my order and was waiting to pay, for some reason the guy took person next to me and got their order and they paid. I asked If I could pay he said one moment. I had asked for radishes they weren’t in the bag also after paying I asked for napkins because none were provided in my to go order very disappointed with their shrimp tacos 4 mini shrimp size of 1 inch per taco over all bad service no salsa or chips were provided
On my neverending quest to try new restaurants in Santa Rosa and I happened across Pepe’s. I ordered the Chilaquiles Rojos con carne because it’s my favorite rainy day treat. Oh my goodness it’s amazing! Crisp, flavorful, and a large portion with the best price I’ve seen since leaving Lake County. Wow! I’ll be dining in next time. The restaurant is really cute and the staff was fast and friendly. I wish I had taken some pictures because the sauces, avocado and other toppings looked incredible. Definitely recommend trying this place if you haven’t already.
This was my first time at Pepe’s. I have been meaning to get in for a while so taco Tuesday seemed to be the right time.
I ordered three Carne Asada, three Al Pastor, and three Polo Asada tacos. They were all a good size and filled with meat.
First, the Carne Asada; it was very tender but a bit bland. Then I tried my wife’s Polo and it was good. Both tacos were just missing a little something. Then I had the Pastor, the best of the three in my opinion. The pork was very tender and extremely flavorful. I would definitely return for the Pastor but not so much for the other two. All of the tacos were loaded with grilled onions and sliced radishes.
The tacos came with chips and two different salsas. The chip were ok and the salsa had good flavor but at least one of them could have used a bit more heat.
The service was great! And my tacos came out quickly. You can watch them being made right behind the counter.
The price seems to be in line with other Mexican restaurants in the immediate area.
Pepe’s may not be at the top of my return list but I will head back for some of that wonderful Pastor.

Three stars for the hand made tortillas. Food was good but service was horrible. Staff walked past us numerous times, had to ask for a table upon still having to find one ourselves. We also had to ask for menus and to place our order. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful considering we were a party of 7. Also seen the staff dismiss to next table of only 2. In desperate need of PROPER STAFF!!
