We are locals and our favorite sweet treat is here. I get the white chocolate and raspberries. He gets all the peanut butter stuff. We walk the bluffs and indulge. Heaven!

Papa Bear’s chocolates in Mendocino are a yearly tradition for me – their sweet treats are undeniably delightful! This year, however, I noticed the portions have gotten a bit smaller. While a bit disappointing, the incredible taste remains unchanged. Just be mindful that the price might not quite reflect the size you’re getting anymore, especially if you’re on a budget.

This place was SO good! We even detoured two hours to pick up chocolate. The best chocolate is the raspberry bark. Fresh raspberries in white chocolate, so good. I tried a bunch of other chocolates too and none disappointed. Highly recommend going!

If you have a sweet tooth craving, then look no further. Local shop that makes all the chocolates and sweets onsite. They offer a good selection of choices in both milk and dark chocolate. Dark chocolate with sea salt is always a good choice if you like dark chocolate.
One thing that is cool to see is the tools of the trade. The shop has their pots and bowls on the wall.
