What a great and sweet find in the town of Ft. Bragg. Not huge for a long hike but a wonderful rest in the diversity of a forest and stream. Dog friendly. Parking and entry off Laurel. It is urban and in a canyon so expect short hill climbs. Be respectful of the neighborhood.
Surprised to find this second growth forest of redwoods right in Ft Bragg. Cool to see several examples of medium sized redwoods growing around the stump of an old giant
Old forest right against urban lots. Wide trails and nice staircases along with narrow trails and steep, crudely stepped paths down steep slopes. Many blossoms in early August and little traffic at 3PM on a Saturday.

Starts out great and then it turns into a Make Your Own Adventure. Beautiful place to escape, but not far away.
