Oakstop’s California Ballroom was the perfect canvas for our organization’s, Embrace and Holistic Underground’s 2-day gala and community revival, The Real & The Radiant. The regal, 100-year-old space held something truly sacred — attendees were completely blown away by the venue’s beauty and energy. This was the grandest event we’ve ever produced, and it was the perfect stage for it.
The ballroom itself is stunning — soaring ceilings, gorgeous hardwood floors, and an architectural elegance that made every element of our event feel elevated. The space is both grand and intimate, with enough room to host a full production — live music, a harpist, film, dance, speakers, and a sit-down dinner — while still feeling warm and connected. It is truly one of Oakland’s hidden gems.
Beyond the space itself, the partnership, patience, flexibility, and generosity from the Oakstop team made all the difference. The artists, healers, community leaders, and changemakers who filled that ballroom left both days expanded, moved to tears, and filled with hope. Thank you for making this moment possible. We’ll be back and hope to partner more in future.

This was a venue from old Oakland that was converted to a Ballroom for rent. There was so much nostalgia in the decor. It was a very spacious venue for parties with a sizable dance floor.
