Really pleased to have found Numi Hair Studio, located in FB’s Boatyard shopping centre. Khyan is my stylist and I appreciate the attention she gives to a man’s haircut. No quick clipper trip – a real scissor cut and hairwash. My wife also comes here now, for a ladies cut and colour and is very happy with the service. I highly recommend this studio.

Khyan was very sweet and kind throughout our appointment and kept making sure I was comfortable which was very nice and inviting to be around. The salon itself is beautiful and welcoming, however my hair was very far from what I asked for. I went in and asked for very natural highlights and got very patchy, stripey highlights that were quite yellow. Some of them that she put in first are very bright and quite damaged. I texted khyan that night asking for a partial refund and she said I could come in to have it fixed the next day. I was very skeptical about going back as my hair honestly looked really bad after the first day but I’m glad I did. It still doesn’t look how I wanted it and is quite unblended but it is so much better than the first day. I’m now going to have to dye it back to its natural color because it just doesn’t look great. I’m just sad about this whole experience because I’m very careful with my hair, I hadn’t had it bleached at all in over 5 years and my hair was virgin hair down to the middle of my butt. I asked for 2 inches off and she cut about 5, it grows back so I’m not too upset about that because I did need a trim and more layers. Overall I wish I never had it done because it was so much prettier before and I know when the color starts to fade the bad bleach job will come through. I also think j still should have gotten a partial refund as it still does not look good and I’m going to have to fix it myself and it was over $200. I’ll attach pictures of what I asked for, what I got the first day, and finally how it was somewhat fixed the second day.
