I went with NRG bc they offered a dish Cioppino. Pronounced Cha-Pee-No. A coworker asked if I ever had it before. I didn’t. Visiting Fort Bragg for the first time, I wanted to try something new with foodstuffs. They didn’t disappoint. A combo of clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops..they used halibut. Other recipes used Cod. To be honest I didn’t care. I loved the broth. Kudos to the chef. It was amazingly delicious. I love to cook. To hear about a dish that I’ve never had, I’m inspired to recreate it. Thanks Chef!
Waiter staff John was Awesome! I had the Spinach salad paired well with the entree. Spinach, beets, red onion, walnuts, crumbled blue cheese, mandarins..a unique vinegarette. I will be back.
The live music an added plus to the atmosphere. And the view and additional plus.
The employees are really nice. There are some unisex/1-person bathrooms near the entrance. There is also a room with a pool table.
The calamari is really good. The fish & chips combo plate (with prawns & scallops also) was good except that it didn’t have enough tartar sauce, so I had to ask the waitress for more. The “Salmon & Risotto” plate was eh because the fish was bland and the rice didn’t seem like risotto (it wasn’t cheesy).
They give you a separate dessert menu after you eat your main course. I was too full to order any, though.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food! Every dish and dessert was delicious, beautifully presented, and prepared fairly quickly. Huge thanks to the chef.
Special thanks to Carolina, the waitress who took care of us. Excellent service.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing, and the sunset view is absolutely stunning. If you’re coming to spend time in Fort Bragg, this is the place where you should watch the sunset during dinner.
Highly recommended. Easily the best place in this town with genuinely high-quality service, food, and atmosphere.
The View we had was very nice and this restaurant was super close to being great, but every dish had a but.
The savory bacon and tangy capers in my Scallop dish was very nice and the plating was beautiful, but the scallops were a little undercooked which threw off the texture.
The calamari was done perfectly with a light coating, but it came with chili lime sauce from a jar.
The caprise salad had really nice cheese and fresh basil, but the tomatoes were nearly flavorless and the balsamic was weak.
The fried fish was decent. The fish was delicate and flaky. The breading was a nice flavor, but it was soggy.
We had such a great experience at Noyo River Grill! I ordered the rock cod with capers and it was sooooo good—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The view was absolutely gorgeous and made the whole meal even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I’d come back to!
