Walked into the lobby to check in, there was a live human sitting at the counter but they told me to speak to a person on a screen. I thought that was odd and the live staff member got an attitude when I mentioned it. I could tell this might not go well from how they started it off.
I proceeded to try and check in with someone on a screen, I could not understand them and the live staff member in the office kept having to repeat them so I could understand what was being said. Honestly was the most difficult check in I’ve ever been part of, not sure how this is efficient.
Got to my room and thought it wasn’t bad at first. But as I laid down the strong smell of dog urine started to overwhelm me. I thought oh well I’m just here to sleep and it’s not worth going through that painful process I just went through.
Then when I’m about to fall asleep I get a phone call from the person on the computer screen asking me how the room was. I told them it smelled bad and that I don’t appreciate the late night call. I had never received a call so late. And they seemed uninterested about the strong smell of dog urine.
Of course the homeless people screaming outside added to the ambiance.
Morning came, the shower had black mold under the seat. When I checked out another person on the computer screen asked me how was it and I just repeated what I had told them on the phone the night before and left.
I honestly did not like my stay, and I will never be returning back to this establishment.
The rooms are clean. The TV was nice. I think it has HBO. However, the location was like a strip mall area. There’s some nice restaurants across the street in the plaza. There is coffee in the lobby no creamer. No breakfast. We had to fiddle with the key cards to make them work. Our door was difficult to shut To check in you use automated FaceTime. They require to get a digital copy of your drivers license.
Beware! The picture on website looks nothing like this place. The sparklingly clean and inviting pool? That pool is covered up, closed “for repairs”… for years now. Almost every time we tried to use our card key it had stopped working and we had to take it to office. The office has a remote, off site, host for the most part. We had the same problem as card key trying to use ice machine. Always had to have office turn it on. We will never go back.
We stayed here for a single night, and while it was decent enough for a quick stopover, we had a mixed experience.
The check-in process was incredibly easy, though a bit unique—it was entirely handled via a virtual agent on a computer screen, which was a first for us!
However, we were less than thrilled with our room assignment. Because we travel with a service dog, we were clearly placed in a designated pet-friendly room. Unfortunately, the room had a heavy, lingering dog odor that simply would not go away. It was strong enough that we actually had to go out and buy an air freshener just to tolerate the smell for the night.
As a quick place to crash for one night, the hotel served its purpose. But if you are assigned a pet-friendly room, be prepared for the odor. I would likely look for other options before staying here again.
Booked this last minute at 9pm. The check in was weird but kind of cool. They have a “virtual” assistant on a video call that does all the checking in. They also have someone at the front desk, so that was really confusing. The rooms are not the best, but it was a last minute booking and we really needed somewhere to get some rest after a full day of hiking. The bathroom is spacious! The room itself, was not. The beds are really squished together. The ac unit is against the bed, so the ventilation is off. The tv is ok but it’s on like an antenna or something bc it does that old TV glitch where it skips. The mini fridge works, but no freezer and the shelves fall apart. It has a desk and a spot to put your shoes and luggage. Overall it’s a good spot to just sleep and get some rest. Thank you to the staff.
